India's First Offshore Decommissioning | Tapti Fields

Shell has successfully completed India’s first offshore decommissioning project at the Tapti fields, delivered in partnership with Reliance Industries Limited and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) .

This milestone involved:

✅ Safe removal of 5 wellhead platforms
✅ Decommissioning of infield pipelines
✅ Plugging and abandonment of 38 wells

This achievement reflects outstanding collaboration with government regulators and industry peers, and was delivered with the highest safety and environmental standards.
