ICM's Dornier Do217M in 1/48 scale

ICM have recently released two additional versions of their Do217 family, this time the Do217K & M. The kit I purchased was the K version, but there are a lot of pieces inside the box, including the DB603 engines used by the Do217M, and various pieces for a night-fighter version, presumably because of the common parts between the different subtypes.

The kit goes together well and is an impressive model when complete. I chose to change the markings and the transfers for the fuselage codes were sourced from the spares box. The model has been finished as a Do217M-1/R6, with the field modification set for installing a camera in the rear bomb bay. The aircraft has been finished in the markings of 1./Nachtaufklärungsgruppe, found at Kastrup airfiled, Copenhagen, at the end of the WW2.

All materials used in the completion of this model kit were purchased from my own funds; I have not been sponsored to undertake this work.
