Join me as I build the stunning Sukhoi Su-27 of the Ukrainian Air Force in 1/48 scale using the exceptional GWH kit. From the first cut to the final weathering, this video takes you through the entire process of creating a highly detailed and weathered model jet - perfect for fans of modern military aircraft and scale modelling enthusiasts.
Complete Build Process
Watch as I guide you step-by-step through the construction of this legendary fighter. We start with the cockpit using 3D decals, move on to resin aftermarket parts like the ejection seat and engines, and carefully assemble the fuselage with precise fit and minimal putty. Every step is aimed at achieving a realistic and dynamic result.
🎨 Painting, Weathering & Detailing
From preshading to the iconic blue camouflage, you’ll see advanced airbrushing techniques, oil rendering, chipping, washes, and streaks—all explained in detail. I use products from AK Interactive, Ammo Mig, and Abteilung 502 to bring the Su-27 to life with depth and character.
🔧 Upgrades & Aftermarket Parts
This build features several aftermarket upgrades, including a 3D-printed engine and highly detailed landing gear from Details & Wonder. These additions take the realism of the model to the next level and are painted based on real-life references.
