Clarification ─ At 17:03, I used a fast attack on the kick compressor with very light gain reduction (around -2 dB). At this level, the compression doesn’t significantly damage the transient, so the punch is mostly preserved. However, it’s worth noting that — objectively — a slower attack is generally the more common and reliable approach when the goal is to keep transients fully intact. In this case, I simply wanted a slightly tighter, more controlled body on the kick, without noticeably softening the initial hit.
