Ingredients:
3 sticks of unsalted butter (room temperature)
3 cups of sugar
3 cups of cake flour sifted
5 large eggs (room temperature)
1 cup of milk
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract

Step-by-step instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Blend butter thoroughly
Gradually add sugar 1 cup at a time until fully blended ( smooth without graininess) approximately 8-10 minutes
Add eggs one at a time and blend lightly
Add the baking powder to the cake flour
Add cake flour gradually on low speed
Add the milk
Fold in 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract lightly
Oil fluted baking pan with butter and flour or nonstick spray
Pour mixture into baking pan 2/3 full
Leave room for cake to rise
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes
