The viral “unbeatable” robot goalie is powered by Yaskawa Sigma-X servos — 7.5 kW motors tuned to reach nearly 19 meters per second, fast enough to block Cristiano Ronaldo’s 75+ mph shots. This project involved 100+ collaborators over 14–16 months of motor tuning, code rewrites, and system optimization to achieve peak performance.
