This installment of our food tour comes to the Hotan Bazaar in Xinjiang! See the most authentic Uyghur life in southern Xinjiang! It's not only a major town on the Silk Road, it's also a food lover's paradise!

You can't miss the aromatic baked buns (samsa), with their crispy golden skin wrapped around tender and juicy lamb, which leave a sweet taste in your mouth when you bite into them!
The tantalizing Naan Pit Kebabs, large chunks of lamb slow-roasted in a traditional naan pit, charred on the outside and tender on the inside, go perfectly with the freshly baked naan!

If you're into boozy eats, the roasted whole lamb will definitely blow you away - the whole lamb is marinated and wrapped in a seasoned batter, the meat is tender and dripping with grease, and the aroma is overflowing! There is also the must-try roasted lamb sausage on the streets of Hotan, which is charred and toothsome, and dipped in special chili noodles for a unique flavor!
