Prince Harry has seen first-hand the devastating toll of the war in Ukraine, meeting with wounded veterans and hearing how sport is helping them recover.
Through the Invictus Foundation, the Duke of Sussex is working to expand support for those who have suffered life-changing injuries in combat. With over 1.3 million veterans in Ukraine — a number expected to rise to 1.5 million — the need for recovery and rehabilitation is greater than ever.
Many of these efforts are centred in Lviv and Kyiv, but with Ukraine’s vast geography, Prince Harry highlights the importance of making sports recovery more accessible nationwide.
The Invictus Movement, born after the UK’s operations in Afghanistan and Iraq, continues its mission: using the power of sport to help veterans heal, rebuild confidence, and find strength in community.
