Chery's iCar V23 has premiered in China, marking the debut of this collaboration between Chery and Zhimi Technology. This vehicle represents a significant milestone as iCar's second mass-produced model, following the iCar 03. Positioned as a pure electric small SUV for young consumers, it is expected to officially unveil on April 12 and launched in the second half of 2024.
The iCar V23 is crafted with off-road capabilities in focus, featuring both single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive configurations. Its battery packs, provided by CATL, deliver an impressive cruising range spanning from 400 km to 500 km. Specific details regarding powertrain and battery parameters remain undisclosed at this time. Moreover, its dimensions measure 4220/1915/1845 mm, with a wheelbase of 2730 mm. Notably, it boasts an approach angle of 43 degrees and a departure angle of 41 degrees. For the four-wheel drive variant, the minimum ground clearance stands at 212 mm.
Following in the footsteps of the iCar 03, the iCar V23 embraces a rugged square-box design aesthetic, characterized by round headlights, a raised front hood, beefier bumpers, pronounced fenders, and an external rear box designed for storage purposes.
The iCar V23 is also equipped with concealed door handles that illuminate when activated, roof luggage racks, side steps for added convenience, and pedal-shaped rims. Wheel sizes are offered in 19-inch and 21-inch options, catering to diverse preferences and driving needs.
In the iCar V23's interior, geometric design elements abound, with rectangular air-conditioning outlets and rotary knobs positioned beneath the central control screen, complemented by a dual-color background scheme. Notably, the vehicle will incorporate a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and an L2+ advanced driving assistance system.
