Michael Geldreich – piano meditations #1 [by the window] 432Hz
Published at : 17 Dec 2025
Hello everyone,
I’m Micha, and I’m excited to share a new series of videos with you. As a pianist and composer, I’m drawn to moments where sound and silence merge, creating spaces that invite reflection and feeling. These will be regular, improvised sessions, meant as meditative journeys for both of us—an invitation to slow down and hopefully feel some of the contemplative depth I find at the piano.
For me, music has always been about connection, and that’s what brings me back to these sessions over and over. There’s a quiet joy I find in these moments, and my hope is that sharing them with you will create a sense of inner harmony that resonates.
In the first video, I’m playing in a special place—my studio on an island in the river Rhine, where I sit by an open window. As I play, a conversation unfolds between me, the trees, and the birds, an organic exchange that becomes especially poignant around the eight-minute mark. There, with the dampened strings, a dialogue emerges between a bird and the piano, as if nature herself is lending her voice to the music. These are the moments I hope to capture and share with you—fleeting, gentle, and, in their way, a bit magical.
