Update: my Kiisu seems to freeze when I hotplug the wifi board. So I just ended up wiring the negative for the ESP32 directly to the Kiisu. I then used the switch for the positive side of the battery instead. Now I can reset the device and turn the battery off whenever I dont need it. Pictures on the printables link below.
Note you will need to trim the header on the side that is closest to the IR transmitters. I used a sharp knife and trimmed a little bit off the end so it did not hit the IR transmitter.
