How to Crochet Webbed Feet for Your Amigurumi Duck or Bird

Create your own easy webbed feet in this step-by-step tutorial! I use these webbed feet on my plush crochet duck from my pattern book (linked below). You can find the written instructions for these webbed feet below; see Plush Webbed Feet Instructions.

Note: I use a similar style of webbed feet on many of my other non-plush, or medium-weight crochet animals. I will list the written instructions for those at the bottom of this description.

To make these plush webbed feet, I’m using #6 super bulky weight 100% polyester yarn with a 5 mm hook. I use the following stitches: chain, single crochet, increase, slip stitch, and double crochet, abbreviated as follows:

ch – chain
st(s) – stitch(es)
sc – single crochet
inc – increase
dc – double crochet
sl st – slip stitch

Plush Webbed Feet Instructions (to be used with #6 super bulky weight yarn or #7 jumbo weight yarn):
R1: Ch 2, 6 sc in first ch (6 sts) - or work 6 sc in a magic ring
R2: (Sc 2, inc) 2 times (8 sts)
R3: (Sc 3, inc) 2 times (10 sts)
R4: Sc 10 (10 sts)
Closing row: Ch 1, sc + dc + sc in first st, sl st in next st, sc + dc + sc in next st, sl st in next st, sc + dc + sc in next st (11 sts)

Here are the instructions for making webbed feet with non-plush yarn, such as #4 medium worsted weight yarn or any similar thinner yarn weights.

Non-Plush Webbed Feet Instructions:
R1: Ch 2, 4 sc in first ch (4 sts) – or work 4 sc in a magic ring
R2: (Sc 1, inc) 2 times (6 sts)
R3: (Sc 1, inc) 3 times (9 sts)
R4: (Sc 2, inc) 3 times (12 sts)
R5-6: Sc 12 (12 sts x 2 rounds)
Closing row: Ch 1, (sc + dc + sc in first stitch, sc in next st) 3 times (12 sts)
