How Much I Spent in Greece Cost Breakdown
Published at : 18 Dec 2025
How much $$$ I spent for 8 days in Greece! 👏🏽
Honestly, I found Greece to be relatively affordable - more than I expected! 😌 This total is based on splitting costs with one other traveler. Details 👇
✈️ My round-trip flight was $591.57 from Washington DC, paid for with my Citi Premier points.
🏨 Athens hotels came in the cheapest between 70-120 per night. We splurged on our Santorini villa on AirBnb at $250 per night - but we DEFINITELY could have gotten much cheaper accommodations at a local hotel.
🛥️ Almost all activities included transportation which helped us save immensely on taxis. Majority of the things were did were less than $100. For reference, motorcoach tours were under $90 for all full day. The food tour was $45 and cooking class was $65. A full day ATV rental was only $60. The flying dress shoot, private wine tour, and Catamaran were most expensive. 💵
🚕 We walked everywhere in Athens! And booked tours in Santorini that includes transportation. We could've cut down on the taxi cost even more by taking the local buses. Be sure not to get taxis off the streets and order them on the Taxi Beat app for the best deal.
⛴️ We only took two ferries but we waited last minute to book them. They should've been way cheaper - be sure to book in advance! But also expect for them to be canceled due to high winds and you may need to rebook on another boat (which we had to do both departing and returning from Santorini).💨
🥗 Food was VERY reasonable at casual restaurants. You can grab a main dish for between $10-15. Our accommodations all included a nice breakfast (even the Airbnb!), so we saved a lot there.
