On a bright morning in Oregon, a college student working outside her brother-in-law's apartment complex disappeared without a trace. Her abandoned flip-flops were the only clue left behind. As investigators scrambled, a terrifying discovery was made: neighbors had heard a scream on the very morning she vanished. The case seemed to go cold, leading police to a man with a dark obsession with women's underwear. But the true killer was 1,400 miles away. An unrelated kidnapping attempt led police to a green van and a suspect with a disturbing past. Five years later, a confession, a map, and a long-awaited discovery finally brought an end to a family's hope and grief.
