📌 Historical & Technical Highlights

The Bf 109 E “Emil” series (including Red 12) was one of the Luftwaffe’s main fighters in the early phase of WWII. It used Daimler-Benz DB 601 engines, and versions like E-3/E-4 had both machine guns (MG 17) and 20 mm cannons (MG FF/M) wing-mounted.

The P-51D Mustang boasts a bubble canopy, six .50-cal machine guns, excellent range (with drop tanks), and often credited with turning the balance of air superiority in the Allied bombing campaigns over Europe.
