Suspect: Kody S. Goff of Weatherford, TX

On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, I, Corporal Antonio May, was conducting routine patrol on Interstate 40 eastbound and
traveling on the right shoulder at a low rate of speed when I received a dispatch from Troop J advising that the Morrilton Police
Department was in an active pursuit. The suspect vehicle was reportedly traveling toward Interstate 40 eastbound.

A short time later, I observed a gray Jeep bearing Texas license plate TNH0517 approaching at a high rate of speed, followed
closely by two Morrilton Police Department units. The vehicles were traveling eastbound on Interstate 40 at speeds exceeding
100 mph.

I activated my emergency lights and assumed the primary position in the pursuit. The suspect vehicle continued eastbound at
excessive speeds and displayed erratic and reckless driving behavior. At approximately the 112-mile marker, the vehicle
reached speeds of approximately 100 mph. The driver passed multiple vehicles on the right shoulder at approximately 78 mph
before reentering the roadway.

As the pursuit approached the 113-mile marker, the suspect vehicle slowed and came to a complete stop in the left lane. I
issued commands for the driver to exit the vehicle, and he complied without incident. I was assisted on scene by Corporal
Deston Linkous, Trooper Eric Hoegh, and Trooper Ana Escamilla.

After taking the suspect into custody, the scene and responsibility for the suspect were turned over to the Morrilton Police
Department. Upon speaking with Morrilton officers involved in the pursuit, they advised that they had received a Flock license
plate reader alert on the vehicle, and the registered operator showed to be a deserter out of the Fort Bragg military installation,
which initiated their encounter.
