Joanne Albanese, a dedicated single mother of two in Las Vegas, disappears without a trace in 1995. Her worried daughters return home from a weekend away only to find unsettling clues suggesting foul play. The investigation quickly centers on her charismatic personal trainer boyfriend, "John Edwards." As detectives dig deeper, they expose Edwards as a sophisticated conman with a horrifying criminal past: his real name is John Addis, a felon, kidnapper, and ironically, a former Alaska State Trooper who used his law enforcement knowledge to evade capture.
