Flopsie and Friends: Class 37s make a Fantastic Carlisle Train Variety 12 Dec 25
Published at : 18 Dec 2025
A Fantastic day at Carlisle Citadel Station. I was expecting to see one, maybe two Class 37s and the usual freight and passenger trains. What I recorded exceeded my expectations with four 37s, two test trains, a train of MPVs heading from Scotland to Wigan, having finished their Rail Head Treatment Train duties and some empty stock. A mix of empty Saphos Trains stock returning from the SRPS at the the Bo'ness & Kiniel Railway. and SRPS stock going for crashworthiness and CDL work at Crewe. LSL and BKR do this between them.
