WOW Games at the Columbia Mall in Maryland needs to be avoided at all costs. This is everything that is wrong with game collecting. I can’t believe this place is getting away with ripping people off!
Retro video game collecting at game stores has become increasingly problematic due to several issues. One major concern is the prevalence of counterfeit games, which are often difficult to distinguish from authentic copies and leave collectors paying premium prices for fraudulent products. Additionally, many stores inflate prices far beyond market value, capitalizing on the nostalgia and rarity of these titles. Poor quality is another recurring issue, with games and consoles often being sold in terrible condition, such as scratched discs, damaged cartridges, or malfunctioning hardware. Some stores also lack transparency regarding the authenticity and condition of their inventory, making it challenging for buyers to trust their purchases. These factors combine to create a frustrating and often disappointing experience for retro gaming enthusiasts.
This is a new series!! Join me every so often and follow me on my videogame collecting journey. I take you live hunting at the thrift stores, flea markets, yard sales, garage sales, on Facebook Marketplace scores, etc. to add more games to the collection. This starts with one trip to the thrift store and grows from there. Watch to see where this leads and the AMAZING finds I score!!
This upcoming week will be AWESOME and I cant wait to share!
