Russian troops remain trapped in the center of Kupiansk, using local residents as human shields. Victor Trigubov, head of communications for the Joint Forces, confirmed that about 200 occupiers remain in the city. Ukrainian Defense Forces have established a strong line of defense along the Vovcha River near Vovchansk, where the enemy continues to attempt advances. Fierce fighting also persists along the western bank of the Old Skill River, a strategically important waterway.
