On Monday, August 4, 2025, at 11:30 PM, at the intersection of Grand Avenue (IL-132) and Hunt Club Road in Gurnee, IL, a sedan was facing northbound in the left turn lane for westbound Grand Avenue from Hunt Club Road.
When the sedan was given a left turn signal, it instead entered the middle of the intersection and ran a red light, attempting to go straight instead of turning left.
The sedan nearly crashed into a Toyota Sienna minivan that was turning eastbound onto Grand Avenue from Hunt Club Road.
The traffic violation and near-crash happened in front of a marked Gurnee police officer, who pulled the sedan over in the northbound lanes of Hunt Club Road just north of Grand Avenue.
The dashcam used in this video is the Garmin Dash Cam X310, which records in 4K.
