This Immigrant's Shocking Lies Got Him Caught
The UK Border Force is a relentless team of men and women tasked with finding those who break the law to enter the country. In this documentary, we follow them on a series of dramatic operations. First, they conduct a tense raid in Glasgow, where a man is exposed as an overstayer using a fake passport and an invented identity. Next, we are on the ground in Lagos, Nigeria, with an entry clearance officer who uncovers a black market for fraudulent visa documents and busts a man who bought a full package of fake papers. The scene shifts to the port of Calala, where desperation becomes visible as migrants are discovered hiding inside lorries and wrapped in plastic bags in a bid to enter Britain. Finally, we join an enforcement team as they raid a London steakhouse, where they find two undocumented workers, one of whom has been deported before and re-entered using a new forged passport. The other, a waitress, makes a painful decision that will change her life forever to protect her friends.
